Ekho

El grupo de investigación EKHO es un equipo de investigación interdisciplinar e internacional de reciente formación en la Universidad de Barcelona. Su principal linea de investigación se centra en las cartografías sonoras y audiovisuales desde diferentes perspectivas de análisis (estética, demográfica y urbanística).
Uno de los ámbitos de trabajo del grupo EKHO es la organización del International Symposium on Soundscape and Advanced Music (ISSAM), con el objetivo de presentar unos primeros resultados de las investigaciones en músicas avanzadas como la electrónica y el paisaje sonoro en el panorama actual, así como contrastar sus avances con el conocimientos en el tema de ámbito nacional e internacional y la experiencia de artistas que han profundizado en estos temas desde una perspectiva creativa.
Este simposio pretende difundir entre los participantes los conocimientos sobre interdisciplinariedad en las músicas avanzadas, así como abrir perspectivas de posibilidades hacia el futuro en paisajes sonoros, músicas basadas en la tecnología y en temas como la generación de música a partir de algoritmos y de la aplicación de la Inteligencia Artificial en el campo de la creación musical interdisciplinar.

Ekho

The research group EKHO is an interdisciplinary and international research team of recent formation, currently investigating Audio-visual and sound maps from different analytical perspectives (aesthetic, demographic and urbanistic).
This research team will organize the International Symposium on Soundscape and Advanced Music (ISSAM), with the objective of presenting the first results of the research, as well as contrasting and debating the research advances with the knowledge of specialists within the field at a national and international level and with the experience of artists that have further investigated these subjects from a creative perspective.
This symposium will attempt to spread amongst its participants the knowledge of interdisciplinariety on soundscape and advanced music and of this still fairly novel subject within our country, whilst also opening new perspectives and possibilities relating to the future with subjects such as the generation of music through algorithms and the application of Artificial intelligence to the domain of music creation.
